The Next Tablet

When I think of Next, I think of the place my dad takes me to for him to buy some new boxers, or new socks, or just some new clothes. I’ve never once thought of Next as the kind of company that would make electronic devices similar to those of Apple.

But now, to my absolute amazement, they have come up with a very similar device to the Apple iPad. The tablet-based computer will run using the Google Android system. The Next Tablet will have a 10” touch screen, .3” bigger than the iPad. It will also have 8gb of storage, and come Wi-Fi enabled.  As well as using the Android system it will use an ARM processor. It will add even more competition to the iPad along with the Dell Streak (http://www.Dell.com/Streak) , and the Samsung Galaxy Tab (http://galaxytab.samsungmobile.com/)

Although the Next Tablet will not have multi-touch, it will have a decent three-hour battery life, and also two USB ports. It will also have microphone and headphone sockets for recording and listening. And although you may say it lacks many of the features of the iPad and other competition, it comes at a much lower price of £180.00.

The release of this product from a company like Next, shows how big these tablet devices are becoming.
